Major Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and faced interruptions to water systems, as stated by city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to local officials.

Moscow has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and applying sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets struck energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the city came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The assaults succeed nights of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
