I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
